Overview

Bizzmis empowers female entrepreneurs to build authentic business connections through a mobile-first networking experience. Users can browse curated profiles, send intentional messages, and meet up virtually or in person. I led both the design and development efforts - translating an early concept into a fully functioning product, ready for launch and testing.

Challenge

Platforms like LinkedIn or Instagram weren’t built for women seeking meaningful business relationships - whether it’s finding a co-founder, a mentor, or someone to share ideas with over coffee.

Our goal was to create a mobile app that felt warm, actionable, and specifically tailored to women in business - with smart onboarding, clear user flows, and tech-enabled discovery and connection.

Results

The final product was a working prototype and pre-release mobile app used by the client for early-stage user testing and pitching to investors. The combination of thoughtful design and structured development resulted in a polished, scalable networking experience tailored to a high-intent audience.

Key Features

Onboarding Flow

Users customize their experience by selecting work industries, goals (like mentorship, collaboration), and interests — powering personalized feed and match results.

Profile & Discovery

Swipe through professional profiles that highlight goals, location, experience, and interests. The design makes it easy to quickly assess compatibility and reach out.

Connection Messaging

Intentional message options like:

  • Virtual Meet

  • Coffee Catch-Up

  • Business Chat
Each with a templated message to reduce friction and spark meaningful interactions.

Feed Page

A social feed where users can share what they’re building or what they need support with (e.g. hiring help, launching a new idea). Think of it as a lightweight LinkedIn + support forum.

Messaging & Requests

Inbox shows active chats, incoming connection requests, and context (like what kind of meeting it was for).

Profile & Settings

Users can manage photos, update preferences, pause their account, or turn off visibility as needed.
