About me
I’m drawn to design because it’s a way of listening - to people, to problems, and to possibility. There’s something incredibly fulfilling about turning those insights into something real that makes a difference in people’s lives.
Outside of work, I spend my time surfing, traveling, and practicing the art of slowing down enough to notice what inspires me next.
How I got here
Graduated university
I studied Creative Writing at university, where I explored imagined worlds through the lens of how more sustainable, efficient, and equitable futures might look.
Operational auditor
My first job out of university was in operations, auditing retail stores for a T-Mobile partner with 300+ stores. Noticing inefficiencies in how data was collected, I pitched and helped design an electronic data capture app that launched company-wide - improving speed and accuracy across audits.
Introduced to human centered design
I met with a career coach who introduced me to the design agency IDEO. That same day, I spent four hours diving into their work and philosophy - realizing, with excitement, that this was exactly how I’d been approaching problems in my own life all along.
Learning UX Design
Soon after, I enrolled in and graduated from a three-month UX intensive program, which led to landing my first role in UX.
Honing my craft as a UX Designer and beyond
My foundation is in UX design, but over the past seven years I’ve expanded into adjacent roles including leading research teams, product management, and engagement management. This experience shapes how I approach design from both a strategic and human perspective.
